This book takes the facts only approach to each disease. Very informative about causes, symptoms, diagnostic tests, treatment, and prognosis.

This book is by no means a traditional textbook. The layout of the majority of the chapters includes a brief summary of basic terms related to the chapter subject and then the rest of the chapter is a listing of diseases, codes, and etc. It is a lot of information and is not much of a "read". However, it does a great job of describing diseases and conditions.
